COLE’S CORNER (2005)


Such a lovely vocal, it’s a pity he screws the lyric up right at the end with that awful line about the girl with a smile and a flower in her hair. He did something similar, as I recall, on his first album with that song about how you don’t miss your water till the river runs dry and you don’t miss your lover till she’s waving goodbye etc. etc.

    I always wondered why they went to such lengths to obscure his face on album covers. Has he a cleft lip?

    I think so, not sure. He’s playing Other Voices next month in Dingle – you can go along and have a good old point-and-stare at him then…
