Is this a bizarre coincidence but Mark Linkous (Sparklehorse) also cover “Hey Joe”. Not the Hendrix’s song but the Danial Johnson one. Today is his first anniversary of this death.

The other song I was debating posting here was Smith’s equally bastardized version of Gloria from Horses (‘Jesus died for somebody’s sins, but not mine…’) Coincidentally, one of my favorite original Sparklehorse songs was the also confusingly titled Please Don’t Take My Sunshine Away.
