Rocks Off (1972)

“The sunshine bores the daylights out of me…” Listened to this today for the first time in a long time. It’s even fucking better than I remembered it. My favourite rock n’ roll track of all time. Easy.

For years I demanded that Shine A Light be played during the final moments of my funeral, until I realised that nobody actually gave a shit and would all be in the pub by the chorus anyway. Rocks Off might in fact be a better choice if you want to hold the audience.

I’m sticking with my original choice of funeral music Queeen – Another one bites the dust.

@ Paul – Let It Loose is my other favourite track from that album. Although it’s probably not very funeral-worthy.

Btw… watching this again… Jesus, Bill Wyman’s haircut should be against the law!

    @ EK – !

I think he’s the one man in the world who has hair that I’m not jealous of.

Mick Taylor was never cool enough to be in that band either.

  7. Paul Says:

Bill Wyman used to write in his diary “Stuck in fog” whenever he fucked a groupie, so that he could keep count but his wife would never know. I don’t know why the phrase disturbs me but it does.

@ Paul – urgh, everything about that guy is kinda creepy. Genius bass player of course.
