    Don’t you just love that “Break down and cryyy” bit…and the “Day in the Life” reference, and just the overall disco coked-out funkiness of it.

    Superb song. The album’s a bit dodge in comparison though.

    Agreed on all counts Peter. Love the idea of this pasty faced, skinny, twentysomething, white guy from England – whose entire shtick, up to this point, had been to dress up as this kind of alien transsexual character – suddenly deciding that he’s a soul singer, hiring a soul band, going on national television in the States and not only pulling it off, but being fucking amazing at it.
