Are these the greatest consecutive tweets ever?

Tweet1
I must admit, I’m belatedly warming to Twitter. One guy who followed me on there (so I reciprocated) posted this the other night. He followed that shortly afterward with this… Tweet2
Talk about opening my eyes to previously unfamiliar subcultures. I had no idea there really was a League of Ireland. I thought it was something funny newscasters just riffed about when they’d run of real news. Like the stockmarket or something. Well, I live and learn.

P.S. For the record, I did check with the owner of those tweet that he was okay with my highlighting their awesomeness. He was.

P.P.S. Apropos of nothing, but am I the only person who kinda regrets ever following @ebertchicago ?? Jesus, try limiting yourself to, say, a thousand tweets a day grandpa!

Yes! Ebert does Twitter too much. But if I’d lost my voice I’d probably do the same. And he’s still an interesting twittererer.

  2. sean Says:

Seconded (or thirded!) Jesus that Ebertfest was nearly the end of me and Twitter. Why doesn’t he get one of those Stephen Hawking devices??

  3. Fintan Says:

Ah come on the man is an institution and he doesn’t have a voice. So what if he twitters a couple (of hundred) more times than is strictly necessary?

  4. Una Mullally Says:

    All hail Buzz!

  5. massey Says:

Wasn’t there some story where Freddie Mercury had a party and there were midgets walking around with boards on their heads and lines of coke racked up on them?

  6. Eoin Says:

@ Una – yes, Buzz O’Neill is the man responsible. Not only are his tweets the best, but he has the coolest Irish-action-hero name I’ve ever I’ve ever heard!

  7. Eoin Says:

@ Massey – maybe, but that also pretty much describes my house every Friday and Saturday night

  8. massey Says:

Jesus you’ll have to give us an invite so..

  9. Eoin Says:

Well since the recession kicked in most of the midgets have been carrying ferrero rochers on their head. But it’s still a pretty wild scene!

  10. Damo Says:

    Buzz is a legend!
