Eoin: Is he serious? A toast with mineral water? “None of us really even drink anymore”? Guess it’s possible, they must be pushing 55 at least, & nobody’s throwing up in the photo…. They even all look fairly healthy.
Well, God bless ’em. Always liked ’em, & Chevron’s “Lorelei” is among the best things they ever did…. Seems fair they should go down a storm in the States, though I think Flogging Molly sorta stole their sound & approach….– TAD.

Well the photo above if from the cover of If I Should Fall From Grace With God (meaning its gotta be about 20-25 years old at this point.)

As you can see, Shane (slumped over the couch) is keeping the entire band’s end up on his own.
True, they’ve had their sound stolen by multiple acts. Most egregiously, I’d have thought, by the Dropkick Murphys.

Well, they haven’t changed THAT much, less hair of course (who among us can’t say that, eh Eoin?). But I feel kinda dumb, cos I’ve got a copy of FALL FROM GRACE WITH GOD, on cassette(!), & there was no band photo included — guess I thot the guys’ drinking had preserved them at a fairly healthy age…? Sorta surprised Shane MacGowan’s still around. Thanx for the update…. — TAD.
