greatsong, great band.how dyou end up drinking with kurt?i remember one time mongrel did a review of a lambchop album-musta been awcmon/no you cmon-and it was just a recollection ofa show he played in dublin where someone in the crowd shouted out “youre a genius kurt”, to which he responded something like “go fuck yourself”.was that your work eoin?hed kinda strike you as a bit of a crank alright but ive seen a couple of interviews with him and he actually comes across as fairly sound.

They played the Olympia around the time of the Is a Woman album. I was working for The Slate at the time and got on the guestlist. Got chatting to them afterwards and went backstage with them. There was a girl in the band and my friend might have scored with her. Roddy Doyle also came back to say hello and they hadn’t a clue who he was so I introduced him. Fuck I could only have been about 21, straight out of Mayo… but I didn’t give a fuck.
